How Is It Justified That In The Book of Job, God Basically Allowed Job To Be Tortured In Many Ways Just To Win A Bet With The Devil?
Think about it, God allowed the Devil to emotionally and physically torture Job. Not just worldly things were taken away, but his family also. We’re talking a long time of great suffering, and remember, Job did nothing to deserve this, God and the Devil just wanted to prove each of their respective points.

When Job points this out, that he lived his entire life for God and whatever wrongs he did, he honored God for and even sacrificed to God for his children’s possible sins. Then when God speaks to him, God acts like Job is in the wrong. God’s argument seems to be, “I am God, therefore I’m right”

Exactly, it’s like in the end Job should just forget his well-being was jeopardized because God likes to make deals with the Devil, literally he made a deal with the Devil.

God still seems like an jerk for doing this to an innocent man who was just living his life, also why does god need to have justification from the devil? Doesn’t he know all?

Obviously that Demiurge did not know all! Actually, the Devil isn’t the one that brought about the “calamity” to Job. By allowing it, God is ultimately responsible. That’s a malignant deity, not a benign one, and one not worthy of my praise or worship.

You can’t just replace people with other people, and the very notion that you can is disgusting and morally reprehensible. The fact of the matter is that God made a bet with the devil that Job would never hate God even if it looked like God killed his kids and livestock. Then, when Job asked God to explain himself, which he was perfectly justified in doing, God came down and started bitching at him, basically saying   I’m God. If it’ll shut you up, I’ll give you more livestock and more kids. You’re not getting the kids you previously formed emotional bonds with, though, because, I’m God.”

Does this heartless evil Demiurge sound anything like Our Father in Heaven? I say hell no! This story is evil and demonic! The hell with a god that would do this! He is not God at all!
